London was everything we hoped for (and more)

Hi Reader!

This summer, I finally made it to London for the first time! It was part of our big London + Paris trip, and since we had never been before, I wanted to give ourselves enough time to really experience the city.

At first, one week in London might sound like too much, but it turned out to be the perfect pace. We covered the major highlights - Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, saw three(!) West End theatre shows, and visited the very popular Harry Potter Studio Tour. We also fit in a day trip to Windsor, Stonehenge, and Bath to get a taste of the English countryside.

One of the highlights of our trip was the Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studio Tour. Walking through the sets, seeing the props, and learning about the special effects made the movies come alive. If you’re a Harry Potter fan, it’s a must-do.

We also spent a full day outside London visiting Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath on a guided tour. It was a packed day, but worth it to see three iconic places in a single day. From the grandeur of Windsor Castle to the mystery of Stonehenge and the charm of Bath town, it gave us a nice glimpse of England beyond London.

I am really loving the convenience of structured tours when we are short on time and want to maximize our time in a new destination.

Hi Reader! Have you been to any of the Hawaiian Islands? If yes, hit reply and let me know which one. If not, then here's a vacation idea for you for the upcoming winter holidays! Hawaii has great weather year-round, but I especially love visiting in winter to escape from the cold and enjoy warm tropical beaches. ➡️ Visiting Hawaii during winter: What to expect and things to do We have been to Hawaii four times so far: Oahu, Big Island, Maui, and then Oahu again, in that order. A couple at Seattle's Pike Place Market

Hi Reader! I think Seattle is one of the coolest cities on the West Coast, and that’s saying a lot from someone who loves San Francisco as a local. It has this creative, young, outdoorsy energy - a mix of coffee, tech, music, and nature that gives the city its own unique vibe. Hubby and I at Pike Place Market in Seattle My kid started college near Seattle, so I will be visiting a lot over the next few years and am looking forward to exploring the Pacific Northwest. Seattle is known for its...

Hi Reader! I visited Paris this June for the second time, our first trip was way back in 2016 with two kids under 10. We loved it then, but let’s just say a lot of that trip was spent managing snacks, bathroom breaks, and tired feet. This time, the kids are teenagers, which brought its own set of challenges (they’re somehow always tired and glued to their phones), but overall it was a much more relaxed experience. ➡️ 4 day Paris Itinerary for first timers I loved Paris this time a lot more...
